Birds 6 is essentially a miscellaneous collection of bird motifs of a semi-neat nature that are on occasions related, of which this aspect is duly noted as appropriate as below. These can be regarded as the 'final study' before a definitive example is undertaken, and so are thus of interest in their own right.

Two different types of bird are combined, with blue/yellow and red/green birds being of different types. |

Study.
One bird, with both belly (brown) and back (green) combined of the same outline. Essentially, a definitive tessellation of this is to be found in Birds 2 No.3, these all being of the belly view (and coloured differently). |

This and the following (No.5) are interrelated, as the same outline is used but with a different placement of the bird motif. |

Of note here are the different placement possibilities, as the tile possesses 180° rotational symmetry, which thus permits the bird motif to be placed in two distinct ways, thereby increasing the number of distinct tessellations, only one of which is shown above.
This and the following (No.7) are interrelated, with the latter essentially being a curved version of the geometric outline. |

No.8 |
Study.
Although appearing somewhat similar, the birds are slight variations of each other, with brown/ blue and magenta/green having slight differences in their wings, as shown in the illustration sketch on the drawing itself. Either of these types are possible as a tessellation in its own right, but are not shown here.
Some minor variations of this study can be seen as definitive tessellations, with Birds 1 No.10 and Birds 2 No.4. |
